Simteract and Astragon Entertainment present Bus Simulator 27. The developers themselves refer to this part as a full-fledged next-generation bus driver emulator. For the first time in the series, the game uses Unreal Engine 5, and the author actually created it from scratch. At the same time, it has technical issues on both PC and consoles.

How Bus Simulator 27 works on Xbox Series X
Players can choose between “Quality” and “Performance” modes on Xbox Series X. Both have 4K resolution after upgrade.
- In performance priority mode, the game strives for 60 FPS, but does not reach this level. The average frame rate is around 40-45, sometimes dropping to 30-35.
- In “quality” priority mode, you can fix the FPS at 30 and the frame rate indicator will not actually change. You can also disable constant frame rate in settings, where it will vary between 30 and 40.
How Bus Simulator 27 works on Xbox Series S
Things are significantly worse on younger consoles. There are also two modes, and both operate at 1080p dynamic resolution.
- When “Performance” priority is selected, the game delivers 30-40 FPS, with occasional frame drops of up to 19 frames.
- The 30 FPS “Quality” mode runs pretty solid in the main game, but sometimes drops to 20 FPS.
Note that performance is also the most criticized aspect of the game on other platforms. The graphics and realism were well received.
