Capcom hints at return of more forgotten series

Capcom continues to surprise fans with surprise returns of its old series. The company has proven it’s ready to revisit the past, and now it’s making it clear that the list of revived series could get even longer.

In recent years, publishers have aggressively capitalized on the legacy built over decades. In 2026, Capcom released one of the most successful installments of Resident Evil and announced a remake of Code Veronica. Additionally, the company launched a new game, Pragmata, and brought back the Onimusha series. At the same time, its catalog contains many other well-known or long-forgotten IPs that have yet to receive new incarnations.

According to a Capcom representative, the team hopes to bring back more of its own franchise. The developers haven’t revealed which ones yet, so fans can only guess. However, given the company’s current strategy, the candidate series may include series that players have forgotten about. If Capcom continues to act in the same spirit, the next announcement will likely be a surprise.
