Studio Pocketpair has announced plans to release full version 1.0 in 2027 to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the release of its first open-world survival game Craftopia on Steam Early Access. Against the backdrop of Palworld’s massive global success, many feared the project had been abandoned altogether, but the developers confirmed their intention to bring the game to a logical conclusion.
Pocketpair notes that over the course of six years, a vast amount of mechanics and content have been added to the game. The main priorities for version 1.0 will be improving performance, fixing long-standing bugs and giving gameplay a cohesive, stable look rather than endlessly expanding the map. However, some new content will still appear in the release patch. The full 1.0 version will also be released on Xbox Series X|S consoles and through the Xbox ecosystem on PC. At the same time, the studio officially stopped development of the version for Xbox One – the previous generation console’s outdated hardware was unable to cope with the engine’s stability and performance requirements.
