Today is a press conference by Apple, which will showcase new products such as foldable iPhones and AirPods with cameras.

Apple will hold its major autumn event “Surprise and Shine” today (September 9), where it will launch the foldable iPhone Ultra smartphone. At the same time, the flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are also expected to be released, as well as updated smart speakers and headphones. This will be the first major speech under the leadership of new CEO John Ternus.

The foldable iPhone Ultra will be Apple’s answer to the Samsung device that hit the market seven years ago. The device will have a 7.8-inch main screen and a 5.5-inch external display. When folded, the smartphone is shorter and wider than traditional models, but remains compact and easy to carry in your pocket.

To save space, engineers abandoned the Face ID system in favor of a Touch ID button on the side. The camera system is also simplified: instead of a telephoto lens, only the main camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera are installed. At the same time, the device will support MagSafe magnetic charging and multitasking that splits the screen into two windows.

At the same time, Apple will display iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. These devices are aimed at users who want to update their devices but are not prepared to pay exorbitant amounts for a new form factor. Judging from the leaked information, the basic model of iPhone 18 will not be released until next year, which will break the previous strategy of releasing all lines at the same time.

Other new products could include updated HomePod speakers and AirPods headphones with built-in cameras. The event will be held on September 9 at 10:00 Pacific Time (20:00 Moscow Time). Broadcast available at Youtube and the Apple website.
