If you regularly play video games on your PC, you’ve long since accepted the fact that a significant portion of your desktop (not to mention the Windows registry) is occupied by numerous downloaded programs (“launchers”/”launchers”) from the same numerous publishers.
Sometimes this is because developers and publishers distribute their projects exclusively within their own services, and sometimes there are ridiculous situations when a game is officially available for purchase on Steam, but at the same time a secondary loader is still required.
Ubisoft tried their best to practice this ridiculous practice, but now it has become like this report company, its games will have an alternative system to the usual launcher called Ubisoft Connect Services, which allows you to save your progress and provide cross-platform gameplay without having to install a bootloader.
The company says the solution will make the process of installing and launching games more convenient for end users.
The new system will be rolled out gradually, and a pilot project in partnership with Ubisoft Connect Services will be Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
