At the last Nintendo Direct, Atlus prepared a huge surprise for Japanese role-playing game fans. The publisher has officially announced that the upcoming remake of the classic “Persona 4: Resurrection” and the long-awaited “Persona 6” serialization will be available on the next-generation game console Nintendo Switch 2.
If before the release of the series on Nintendo consoles was often delayed by many years, now the gap will be very small. The fourth remastered version of the portable version will be released on May 20, 2027 – exactly three months after the series premiere on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox. As for Persona 6, the developer is currently keeping the release date under wraps, but the fact that it’s confirmed to be released on Switch 2 ensures that owners of the new hybrid system won’t miss out on the next big chapter in the popular series.
It looks like Atlus has finally shifted to a multi-platform strategy, releasing its flagship games on all current systems simultaneously without being tied to exclusivity.
