The harsh sparks of darkness continue to drill deeper into the dungeon, becoming more dangerous at the same time. Update 0.3.17 adds new hero traits, creatures, items, and a host of changes affecting combat, balance, and exploration.
The main innovation is the trait system. Now the hero’s actions and the events he undergoes gradually form his permanent characteristics. Poisoning, bleeding, being caught in a trap, or near-death combat can unlock new benefits. For example, “Turtle” increases health, “Sharp Eyes” increases crossbow accuracy, and “Heavy Hands” enhances axes and hammers. You can have up to three normal traits at the same time.
The third level of the dungeon has been supplemented with Kral and new enemy options. Morrokhs’ exterior has been completely redesigned, with the reinforced version becoming larger, stronger and better protected. Restless ones are now able to run and attack from running, and some creatures gain immunity to poison, bleed, and other effects.
Among the new products is a surgical kit that allows you to treat deep and severe wounds anytime, anywhere. The combat system, skills, armor, rest, level generation and interface have also been redesigned. The first level has become easier, the third level has become more difficult, and the accumulation of darkness on the surface has been slowed down by 25%. Old saves are patch-compatible, although the developers recommend starting a new game to see all changes.
