WARDOGS received a list of changes before entering Early Access. The developers closed multiple bugs, updated the complaint and review systems, made significant improvements to voice chat, technology, performance and balance, and released a launch trailer.
One of the goals of this patch is to improve server and interface performance. The browser’s filters have been redesigned, the display of images has been corrected, and hosting of your own server has been simplified. Voice chat now recovers from connection issues more reliably, and players will see the connection status under high load. Multiple crash causes have also been fixed, and more detailed GPU error reporting has been added.
These changes also affect combat units. The Blackhawk has had its controls tweaked, the turret has a lateral speed limit, and gun and flare ammunition now take up more space in the loadout. Meanwhile, the developers closed the loophole that allowed people to occupy an inaccessible spot on the church’s roof.
They also decided to slow things down a bit. Completion speed will be slower between levels 10 and 20, and leveling up after level 35 will become smoother. The artillery profession was moved to level 90, the heavy tank driver was moved to level 35, and the prices of forward operating bases and sledgehammers were increased. No one seems to be promising an easy win at the Best Awards.
