BitCraft Online developers are temporarily changing their usual development pace. Over the next one to two months, the team will release updates without a strict two-week schedule in order to focus on the quality, performance, and stability of the game.
Patches aren’t going anywhere, but their release will now depend on the preparation of specific changes. Developers want to use their free time to fix bugs, optimize, and improve their projects. In the meantime, the team will continue to work on improving classes and making larger structural changes to content, which they plan to discuss with players later.
The next major update should be the migration to SpacetimeDB 2.10. According to the developers, this is effectively a nearly year-long leap between versions of the platform, which will open up a lot of potential improvements. The team expects to roll out the update in the next week or so, but a specific date will be announced later. BitCraft Online hopes the new approach will finally allow them to solve problems they were unable to solve during the previous two-week cycle.
Do you think update speeds will return to previous levels in the future?
