“Total War: Warhammer 40,000” closed beta registration is about to end

Creative Assembly reminds players that registration for the strategy closed beta of “Total War: Warhammer 40,000” is about to end. Application deadline is September 14, 2026 page. At the same time, developers warn that registration does not guarantee access to testing.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications, not everyone will be able to gain access. Once registration is complete, the developer will send participants a survey that must be completed for further consideration. Creative Assembly will then form a testing team and contact selected players.

The developers wanted to bring together players with varying levels of experience in the Total War series – from veterans with thousands of hours under their belt to newcomers. However, completing the survey does not guarantee an invitation to the closed beta.

In addition, detailed information about CBT that will be conducted on PC through the Steam platform was also revealed:

  • The first part of training.
  • Space Marine’s first two single-player campaigns.
  • Multiplayer and custom battles for Space Marines, Astra Militarum and Orks, plus access to custom factions. Eldar will not be available as they are still under development.
  • System customization.

Creative Assembly specifically emphasizes that the beta version will not be a full trial version. Players will encounter bugs, temporary assets, unfinished localization, balance issues, and other issues. Feedback received will be used for further development of the game before release.

For players who didn’t make the cut, Creative Assembly is planning a livestream with the developers, during which the team will showcase the beta build and discuss the decisions made. In addition, the developers promised to consider community discussions and feedback from players who did not get access to the beta.
