The main surprise for fans of team-based shooter Strike Force at the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026 was the announcement of Doctrine, the ninth support hero. The character with a vampiric aesthetic is closely tied to Doomfist’s story and will take center stage in the game’s next storyline. The developers note that the doctrine places high demands on player skills: the hero is created for an aggressive playstyle and is able to combine impressive damage with powerful healing.
The character’s full launch will take place next month during Season 5, but players can try out the hero in a beta that’s starting now. Introducing vampire support ahead of Halloween is a great gift for the community, which has been asking for characters with a similarly dark style for years.
