Asha Sharma, who took over as head of Xbox in February, admitted that the gaming business was new to her. She had little previous experience in this area, so Sharma spent several months actively immersing herself in everything related to Xbox and its surrounding industries. In a profile of Asha Sharma published by The Wall Street Journal, it saysshe personally solves some of the players’ problems through the support team to get to know them better.
The author writes in the profile that Asha Sharma “spends several hours each month resolving issues that players encounter with support services.” No specific examples were given of how Xbox executives responded to user questions. However, the same publication noted that this way of interacting with the audience helped Asha understand “How difficult is it to solve a problem faced by a single player”.
Let’s remember that one of Asha Sharma’s first decisions after joining Xbox was to launch the Xbox Player Voice portal. During this event, users of the Microsoft gaming ecosystem had the opportunity to comment and vote on individual changes to Xbox. However, since the launch of the portal, only a few required points have been implemented.
