Dead ECHOs is Gearbox’s first scripted podcast set in the Borderlands 4 universe. The story centers on Watts, an ECHO operator at DAHL, who attempts to supplement his meager income in a rather questionable way: he extracts valuable secrets from undelivered ECHO recordings and sells them to the highest bidder.
Everything changed after meeting Juni. A stranger with grand plans helps Watts stay out of trouble, then joins him in his small crime business. Together they turn others’ secret dealings into a Robin Hood-esque enterprise, which soon attracts the attention of mercenaries, bandits and the DAHL corporate team, led by the ambitious Vivian Proctor.
