According to unconfirmed news, Apple is developing enterprise-class servers based on M8 Ultra processors. The source understands that the company not only intends to use them for its own needs but also to sell them to customers information.

There are two versions of the server in development, and Apple has not ruled out that they will use Nvidia networking solutions. Apple is considering using Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion solution suite to connect M8 series processors in servers, which includes switches, chiplets and software for interoperability between data center chips. The plan, which has been in the works for about a year, has the backing of John Ternus, the former head of Apple’s core division and current company-wide chief executive.
