The Sims 4 developers have revealed upcoming fixes and changes that will make Sims behave more logically. There are over 95 items on the list, including interpersonal, interaction and game stability issues.
Special attention is paid to character autonomy. Sims should make eye contact more often when talking, use the bathroom sink instead of the kitchen sink, and stop waking up in the middle of the night to do random things when they’re low on energy. Apparently, even virtual humans sometimes need a normal sleep schedule.
“The Sims 4” launches “One Set”
It’s not like there aren’t corrections more serious than everyday oddities. The developers will be fixing more than a dozen crash and stability-related issues, and will also address common complaints on the EA forums. Specifically, married Sims should no longer suddenly return to their previous partners, and Sims should no longer be stuck in interaction queues. For Lovestruck, they will further slow down the decline of romantic relationships, while for Growing Together, they will change the frequency of dynamic events and the behavior of Sims with low compatibility.
The next major update to the base game is planned for October. This time developers are focusing on food, restaurants and beverages.
