On September 29th, Warhammer 40,000: Undertide will receive a free update, Cursed Abyss, which will add a short story campaign and a new Spillway mission. This time, the team will have to descend where even the chaos becomes uncomfortable.
The new mission will take the warriors deep into the Tethys Hive, the territory of the notorious water cartel. Players must navigate an intricate network of tunnels, waterways, and forgotten passages filled with corruption and enemies. The route will not be linear: the squad must choose between several paths, some of which will be significantly more dangerous than others.
The arsenal will also be replenished with six weapons. In the new series, the developers named the shotguns “Hunter Shotgun”, “Ogryn Stormgun” and “Ogryn Smasher”. There will also be new variants of familiar weapons, including the Crusher Krourk MK VII, Krouk Mk IV double-barreled shotgun, Gromm Mk I combat hammer and Mk V Slab Shield.
Deep within the Hive, the party will encounter the mysterious Seer of Rot – a powerful psyker who has made Trent his lair. The update will also be complemented by new in-game events, store rotation, and quality-of-life improvements. The developers promise to tell you more innovative news about upcoming materials.
