Developers at Blizzard have shared the first details about the development of Diablo 5, which is expected to be released around 2029. Game director Joe Sheley confirmed that the project will maintain a flexible approach to play: players will be able to explore the world alone or with friends, and all content will be available in cooperative mode.
According to the demo materials at BlizzCon, the fifth part will take place in a gloomy post-apocalyptic shelter, where the only safe refuge is the caravan, and the map will be procedurally generated. Since development is in the early stages, the studio has yet to reveal specific details about the implementation of online mechanics, leaving fans to wait for new information by the end of the decade.
