China successfully launched the 25th set of low-orbit satellites SatNet, report China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

At 03:32 Moscow time, the CZ-12 (“Long March 12”) or LM-12 (Long March 12) carrier rocket carrying the SatNet satellite was launched from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center (southern Hainan Province). The number of satellites launched has not been disclosed. According to resources space launch scheduleA batch of nine satellites were launched into low Earth orbit.
This is the eighth launch in the history of the Long March 12 rocket and the fourth launch in 2026. For the Long March series of launch vehicles, this is the 667th flight. The CZ-12 rocket is powered by liquid fuel and has a length of 62 m and a fairing diameter of 5.2 or 4.2 m. The rocket is capable of placing a payload weighing at least 12 tons into low-Earth orbit and a payload weighing at least 6 tons into a sun-synchronous orbit.
The state-owned SatNet satellite constellation, operated by China Satellite Network Group, is expected to have about 13,000 spacecraft.
As the agency noted TASSBeijing is actively developing its national space program, putting meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites into orbit and developing lunar exploration technology. The Chinese space station orbits the Earth. In 2025, China conducted 92 space launches, setting a new record.
