Dragami Games, Nada Holdings, and JP Universe Studios announced at Tokyo Game Show 2026 that Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back will be a Playstation 5 exclusive. The project is scheduled to release in 2027, with Xbox Series X | S and PC versions yet to be announced.
The game is a continuation of Lollipop Chainsaw, which was released on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2012. Let us recall that in 2024, an updated version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was released for all platforms.
The protagonist of “Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back” will once again be Juliet, who will return in a new image and gain a wider range of abilities. The events will take place in the redeveloped San Romero, which has been transformed into Jared Wood – a metropolis built around the film industry. According to the plot, a mysterious director imprisons Juliet in his own zombie movie.
The developers say Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back is a brand new entry in the series. The announcement also comes with the first gameplay video, which can be watched below.
