“Soon you will meet the world’s first robot tour guide. He recently conducted an experimental flight on the Sapsan high-speed train.”“Mr. Belozerov said. Russian Railways first reported on the robot conductor – a car named Volodya – on route 768 as part of a trial run of Sapsan in late July. Robots greet passengers at check-in points, check their tickets, documents and try to cheer them up.
Note that in the photo released by Russian Railways, the robot conductor is very similar to the Chinese model Yushu G1. Oleg Belozerov added that Russian Railways plans to launch fully driverless Lastochka trains on the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) in 2027. Earlier, Russian Railways talked about testing a swarm of robot dogs at freight-heavy stations in the Moscow region.
