Game director and former Naughty Dog employee Bruce Straley co-created the last of us and Uncharted 4openly stating that the modern big-budget AAA game industry has reached a dead end. He believes that the usual game mechanics and project structures have become simple and boring, and the framework of mass production no longer leaves room for fresh and innovative ideas.
That’s why Straley founded independent studio Wildflower Interactive, which develops intimate and stylized projects such as Chicken Feet Witches Coven. Different from high-tech blockbusters such as “Hypothetical” God of War LaufeyDevelopers have put a lot of effort into the secondary game’s graphics, and the new indie game offers players a leisurely pace, unconventional characters, and a rejection of common clichés.
