Hideo Kojima himself once again commented on the current status of his horror project OD. After temporary difficulties, development is now back to normal.
Hideo Kojima has deepened his partnership with Xbox after Microsoft acquired new spy game Physint. Another game, “Terror Project OD”, has been developed in cooperation with Microsoft Xbox. After a long time, Kojima once again publicly talked about it.
The avid developer was on hand at the Tokyo Game Show and also picked up OD during the Xbox showcase. According to him, recording and performance capture have now resumed. The projects were initially put on hold due to the SAG strike, which suggested the project would be delayed.
“By resuming the work this year, we are now back to our original plan,” Kojima said. In short: things are going well now, as OD expected.
In this context, Hideo Kojima also highlighted the performances of main actors Sofia Lillis and Hunter Schaeffer. These will be exciting performances and he’s looking forward to the players finally getting to see them.
It’s been a while since OD had any major updates, save for the big announcement in June of this year that Project Kojima was safe and would continue, even in light of Microsoft’s Xbox restructuring measures and cuts. However, there is no release date for OD.
