The Guild Wars 3 development team has shared new details about the upcoming MMORPG’s story, introducing one of the key factions in the Golden Age of Orr – the Mavenwrights guild. The Industrialists Association was founded by the master builder Riken Oberon and advocated the active use of Vaal magic to promote human technological progress, which led to serious conflicts with the Vaal Guardians and the loss of their official status.
After losing their guild charter and the support of the High Council, the Mavenwrights fell into the shadows, organizing a massive magical weapons smuggling network, establishing the production of custom flamethrowers based on the Souls of Vaal, and sparking open conflict across the wilds of Orr. Despite inferior weapons technology, the group’s numbers and ideological drive pose a serious threat to the stability of the region.
