Asus is preparing a new BIOS version for motherboards using AM5 sockets, which will improve the performance of DDR5 memory on Chinese manufacturer Changxin memory chips. The first beta version has appeared on many models on the X870, B850, X670 and B650 chipsets.
These updates are based on AGESA ComboAM5 PI 1.3.0.1d and appear to offer deeper optimizations than previous firmware. The July BIOS version has improved system performance and stability through CXMT, and now Asus has independently adjusted latency, memory training and auxiliary timing. The company has not disclosed specific growth figures.
Interest in CXMT continues to grow: such modules have previously been overclocked to 9000 MT/s on the AMD X870E platform, and motherboard manufacturers are gradually making it easier to reach frequencies above 8000 MT/s. Users of compatible Asus motherboards can already test the new beta BIOS by downloading it from the company’s official website.
