HoYoverse has announced the details of the 4.6 “Dancing with the Beasts Until the Moonrise” update for the turn-based role-playing game “Honkai Impact”. The patch will be released on September 28, 2026, and will continue the story of Nigilux, who revealed his true identity at the end of the previous storyline. Now, she will travel with Pathfinder to the Zvizdogler Institute of Biology, where the heroes will have to deal with the conspiracy surrounding the conversion of animal shells into weapons.
The central character of the new plot will be Pearl. The Biological Research Institute was once founded by Lady Yaboli and was the lifeblood of all illusions in Star City, but now Yaboli herself is pushing a dangerous project and is believed to be connected to a secret sect that worships Gluttony. Pearl plans to send Kutiba and Ashwell to the institute under the guise of researching Leviathan’s raw material, after which she will work with Pathfinder and Nigelux to figure out what’s going on.
With the release of version 4.6, Pearl will become a new playable 5★ ice rare character, walking on the road of joy. In combat, she uses a true-hit mechanic that prevents some damage from allies. Another ability puts Pearl into a deep learning state, where she can analyze the data of selected allies and gain corresponding attack power boosts. If an ally also follows the Joy Path, the attack will cause additional Joy damage to the opponent. For teams made up entirely of characters from that path, selected allies are given an extra turn, and there’s also plenty of humor and true hit ratings.
The first half of the update will also see the return of 5★ Ivanessa, and the second half will see the return of the 5★ Blade of Mornax flag.
The new version will bring several additional activities. In the “Love. Ghost. Robots” event, Pioneer must help the resurrected Scott manage the production of mecha machines, collecting and selling them for the development of the workshop. The fighting reality show “Star Ritual: One Hit Kill” will provide a separate series of challenges, and in the “Space Pet” mode, players will be able to obtain various space pets and go on adventures with them. There will also be a Broken Star Team Challenge! Two new outfits will appear in the fashion show. Hyacinth will receive the “Warmth of the Clouds” costume, and Ivanessa will receive the “Moonflower Season” costume.
In addition, HoYoverse also announced its cooperation with Razer to launch “Silver Wolf 999” designed gaming chairs, keyboards, mice and headsets. The company promised to reveal more details about the collaboration later. The previously announced crossover version of Zenless Zone Zero will be launched in version 4.8 and will add the characters Ellen and Astra Yao to the game.
