
During the Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima announced that Bill Skarsgård will star in the game PHYSINT. This is a famous Swedish actor, and according to Kojima, they are “Long-term fans of each other’s work”. On the official Kojima Productions account, Bill Skarsagård commented on his involvement in Hideo Kojima’s games.
Skarsagård said he was excited about the opportunity to work at PHYSINT as he has been a fan of Hideo Kojima since childhood:
I’ll be playing PHYSINT, a new and original game created and developed by the great Hideo Kojima. I’ve been a huge fan of Hideo since I was a kid, so I’m excited to start this creative journey with him. He’s a true pioneer and author in the video game space and really brings movies and video games together, so I’m really excited about this project.
Bill Skarsgård gained international fame playing Pennywise in the film It (2017). He also starred in the films The Wild Ones (2022), John Wick (2023), Boy Kills the World (2023), Nosferatu (2024), and The Crow (2024). Among his television series, Skarsgård starred in Castle Rock, Hemlock Grove, and Clark and It: Welcome to Derry.
PHYSINT currently does not have a publishing window. Bill Skarsgård appears on the game’s poster, and Hideo Kojima emphasized that his visual style does not reflect what the game will look like.
