Even the base payment amount remains the same: $5,000 can be written off when you submit your application, and the remaining $45,000 can be transferred to Tesla within the next 10 days. By the way, if you reject your application before the second installment of the advance is transferred, the $5,000 will be automatically refunded. Tesla only confirms Tesla Roadster reservations after transferring and receiving $45,000 in excess of the first payment.
