Valve’s popular free-to-play competitive shooter Counter-Strike 2 Received Major update. The main feature of this patch is a truly new mode.

The mode is called “Rush” and offers dynamic combat in a 3v3 format on various battlefields. Cards are chosen randomly for each round so no two games will be the same.
To win the round, a team needs to capture the tower after destroying the enemy team (or after time runs out). The ultimate goal of the game is to break through the enemy’s castle and capture it.

Valve has also added the option of silent weapon reloading (a sniper rifle becomes silent after exiting its aim mode), made bullet marks and blood stains more visible, expanded sight settings and returned horde tabs.
In addition, Valve has also redesigned the map selection system in Premier mode: now each team will vote to select two arenas, and then from the four arenas, the system will randomly select one to start the game.
There was no mention of this in the changelog, but after the patch was released, players began receiving eggs that could hatch into chicks as well as weekly rewards. With proper nutrition, it transforms into an adult chicken (one of 34 variations).
Data miners report that the update files include the first new weapon in a long time (the M14 rifle), a remaster of the Cobblestone map, and a secret Valve game codenamed hlx – the so-called Half-Life 3.
