Netcraze has announced the launch of the high-performance Internet hub Titan SE NC-4210, which supports Wi-Fi 7, M.2 NVMe slots, Ethernet 2.5G, USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 ports. It is designed for urban apartments, country houses and small offices and supports up to 2.5 Gbps network information, external modems, external modems and DSL connections.
Titan SE features a new chassis design with a removable panel that allows access to the M.2 NVMe slot for installing SSDs without removing it. A bracket with cable organizers is also included for wall mounting, and to mount the device in a distribution cabinet you can remove the lower support from the housing.
Titan SE is powered by the NC-4210 platform and includes an energy-efficient triple-core processor running at 1.8 GHz, 1 GB DDR4 RAM, 8-thread dual-band radio with speed index BE7200 (MU-MIMO 4×4), 1376 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, improved reception performance at 5 GHz according to 45745 4574p), two multi-gigabit 2.5G Ethernet port, three gigabit ports, and USB 3.2 and 2.0 connectors.
Titan SE provides routing up to 5 Gbps in full duplex and 300 to 1000 Mbps in resource-intensive tunnel connections. Practical data transfer rates for wireless transmission networks in mesh systems with similar grade repeaters are as high as 3400 Mbit/s.
The network center is equipped with an M.2 NVMe slot for compatible 2280 form factor SSDs, allowing you to use the router as:
- Multi-user profile and media server for 8K content;
- Fast local storage of video surveillance system;
- Personal cloud for secure remote access to files (running at over 900 Mbit/s measured locally via WebDAV);
- Independent torrent client with actual download speeds up to 80 MB/s.
As the manufacturer points out, on the special part of reliable SSDs it is much more convenient to use the OPKG package manager to extend the functionality of the Internet Center, and starting from version 5.1 a basic service utility is available in the operating system for all connected drives.
As shown in laboratory testing, the temperature conditions of the disks in the Titan SE do not require any additional measures to cool them. Meanwhile, a USB 3.2 port with up to 400 MB/s throughput can be used for high-speed external hard drives.
