Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek’s annual revenue has reached $1 billion, more than double its level in mid-2026. The annual run rate revenue metric reflects the amount of revenue a company would earn in one year if it maintained its current pace of activity.

Her model forces the United States to rethink its understanding of China’s capabilities in artificial intelligence. The company plans to go public soon to fund its further expansion.
Chief Executive Liang Wenfeng provided the latest revenue figures at a recent meeting with investors. The company is preparing for a second round of financing, planning to raise 50 billion yuan ($7.45 billion), with a total business valuation of 500 billion yuan ($74.5 billion). The deal is expected to close by the end of October. Additionally, DeepSeek is preparing for a possible listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Previous reports pointed out that DeepSeek has hired CITIC Securities to prepare for the IPO of the Science and Technology Innovation Board, but the specific time, company valuation and size of funds raised have not yet been determined.
Part of the reason for DeepSeek’s revenue growth is that the price of using artificial intelligence models has increased by 2.3-4.5 times. Wenfeng told investors that the company continues to invest most of its resources in developing new models, with more than 70% of computing power allocated to training and less than 30% to inference. Earlier this month, the company launched its latest model, DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, which it said has enhanced capabilities, faster inference speeds and throughput, and higher scalability.
