Until recently, Mist Hunters attracted tens of thousands of players at a time, but less than two months after its release, things have changed significantly. The number of people online on Steam is still around 150,000, and recent reviews are looking increasingly shocking.
According to SteamDB statistics, the game has approximately 1,500 users at the time of verification, with a peak of 2,868 players in the past 24 hours. In comparison, Mistfall Hunter’s concurrent user base reached an all-time high of 44,472 on August 2. Therefore, the current daily peak is only a small fraction of the starting results.

At the same time, the mood of the audience soured. On Steam, recent reviews are “mostly negative”: about 38% of the nearly 3,000 reviews in the past 30 days are positive. Meanwhile, the game’s overall rating remains at “mixed” – about 53% positive.
The decline in online numbers is also evident: the average number of players over the past 30 days is estimated to be about 5,700, a 70% decrease from the previous period. Meanwhile, Mistfall Hunter continues to receive updates and has another sale starting on September 24th. It looks like the developers now have to convince players to not only buy the game at a discount, but also to play it for the long haul.
