The decision came after “multiple attempts to modify the gameplay” and an internal review that led the team to halt production.
Armed Fantasy is launched in 2022 by Wild Bunch Productions, an established studio From the historic Wild Arms team. The announcement coincides with Penny Blood, a JRPG from the creator of the Shadow Arts series (still in development), as part of a specific initiative: a “Double Kickstarter” with a minimum goal of $750,000, designed to fund both games.
Reason for cancellation
Both projects have successfully raised funds, and according to the latest update posted on the Kickstarter blog in March, the Armed Fantasia team has completed a vertical slice (a small, playable section that shows an early glimpse of how the final game will be structured) to send to the publisher, who until today has remained unknown.
