Details of Diablo Immortal and Spawn’s collaboration starting next week are already known.
Todd McFarlane made an appearance at BlizzCon shortly after the partnership was announced, and now his most famous work is coming to Diablo: Immortal on September 29th. This limited-time event runs until November 1 and includes Chains, Necrons, Retribution, special Spawn-inspired gameplay, and themed rewards.
As part of Hellspawn’s Revenge event, you’ll be able to earn Revenge Tokens by completing weekly missions and participating in various activities. As players accumulate badges and progress, they will unlock rewards such as Hell Spawn weapon skins, portrait frames, spawn-themed emotes, and a one-star Necron Totem Gem.
This gem surrounds the character with death slime, increasing damage dealt for a short period of time. Every few seconds, the Necromancer will attempt to remove a negative effect; if successful, it will fire a projectile at the enemy, which explodes and ignites all nearby enemies.
Related events include Hellspawn’s Bane and The Eventh Circle.
Hellspawn’s Bane is a reimagined version of Survivor’s Bane, incorporating elements from the Spawn universe. Players will be able to use Spawn’s abilities to break through hordes of demons. They’ll have chains, living cloaks, and necromancy at their disposal.
The Eighth Circle is another challenge that’s sure to please Spawn fans. Players must fight against Spawn’s creator, Malebolgia, who wants to use him as a pawn in the game. It is a brutal and powerful enemy that embodies domination and corruption. The battle allows up to four players to team up to defeat one of Hell’s most sinister villains.
