The Good Smile Company and Monochrome Corporation announce the new fantasy universe IGNISPHERE and the first game based on it. This will be the role-playing action game DAWNGAZER, and its development will be led by Takafumi Noma, who was the director of Unicorn Overlord. The game is expected to be released on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2028.
IGNISPHERE is considered a primitive large world that united many nations and races. Monochrome Corporation, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this month, is co-creating the project with Good Smile Company, and Noma is not only the director of DAWNGAZER but also the writer of the new universe. According to the publisher, he intends to take the same hands-on approach to development as Unicorn Overlord, where he was involved in the creation of the story and characters at all stages of production.
The music of “DAWNGAZER” will be composed by Yoshimi Kudo, who has participated in the creation of “Unicorn Overlord” and “Elden Ring”. The trailer presented already showcases his work. KOCHO is responsible for the vocals and coordination of the singer, and some performances are performed by KOCHO and SAK. And Maki Takimoto. Wataru Mukai plays cello.
IGNISPHERE won’t be limited to games. Good Smile Company will develop merchandise, including releasing statues and other products based on the new universe. Additionally, Fujimi Fantasia Library has collaborated with Kadokawa Publishing to develop several light novels, but details of these projects are expected to be announced at a later date.
