With the start of the first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Call of Duty: Warzone will introduce a new setting that limits the display of operator skins in matches. This feature is only available on the player side and is disabled by default.
When the filter is enabled, players will see operators from Modern Warfare 4 instead of operators and skins from previous parts of Call of Duty. Substitutions will affect other players’ characters, including opponents, team and squad members, and the display of operators in the lobby. The player’s choice of carrier will not change, even if it was applicable to previous games.
As Warzone moves into the next chapter of the series, a new setting comes with it. Over the past few years, the battle royale game has accumulated a ton of content from the various Call of Duty releases. Some viewers reacted extremely negatively, especially because of the bright and unusual cosmetics, which players described as “clown-like.” The new filter will be able to hide such skins from other match participants and bring Warzone’s look closer to the style of Modern Warfare 4.
Content from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 will continue to be available in Warzone after the launch of Modern Warfare 4 Season 1. Operator skins and weapon blueprints earned and purchased will be retained.
