CEO Tim Bender explained the decision with a joke: “Aren’t we worried that GTA would launch on the same day? This is actually a strategy: People looking for the PC version of Stealing Cars and Shooting Enemies will find themselves wanting to control the little guy who bangs horseshoes. ”

Bender later clarified that sarcasm aside, the publisher doesn’t see GTA 6 as a specific threat to the release of Blacksmith: “To be honest, GTA 6 has absolutely no impact on the release of Blacksmith.
