On the eve of the release of the remastered version of the critically acclaimed open-world action RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the developers at Polish studio CD Projekt Red have released Full list of changes in the new version.

In terms of graphics, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered (as the updated version is called) will offer improved lighting, shadows, color rendering, visual effects, textures and models.
In addition, we’ve redesigned the skill system and balance, added reforging of equipment to change its appearance, adjusted the behavior of all regular enemies in combat, and improved Roach and Geralt’s animations and controls.
Textures and models in the remaster have been updated based on HalkHogan’s HD Reworked Project modified assets
The developers have also made training more streamlined, added the ability to escape combat and collect loot without dismounting from the cockroach, updated the interface and significantly expanded the functionality of the photo mode.
What other innovations does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered include:
- Now, during meditation, the accelerated passage of time is shown;
- Switching between monitored tasks will become easier;
- Herbs, ships and corpses can be hidden on the minimap;
- For your convenience, task updates are consolidated into a single on-screen notification;
- A new “Accessibility” section has been added to the “Settings” menu;
- Added out-of-box Bard Song settings to reduce cognitive load for players who are mentally fatigued or have difficulty concentrating;
- Individual gameplay modifiers include increased health regeneration, infinite breathing, infinite durability of objects/ships, ignoring the weight of objects, and more;
- Added cross-platform support based on modifications to the mod.io platform;
- Added support for path tracing, Nvidia DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4 and Intel XeSS 2.0.
Finally, CDPR has revealed the complete system requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered (see image above). For path tracing at maximum settings, you’ll need a Core i9-13900K, RTX 5080, and 24 GB of RAM.
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered” will be released on PC at 13:00 Moscow time on September 29 (steam, GOG, EGS, Battle.net), PS5, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch 2 as a free update for owners of the base game.
