The domestic historical real-time strategy game “Flag of Victory” with action elements is in an important stage of preparation – the project will release a demo version on the Steam service on September 29. Players will be able to try out the role of a Red Army commander and participate in the harsh battles on the Eastern Front during the early days of the Patriotic War.
The main feature of the upcoming trial version is a proprietary mechanism for instant switching between RTS-style strategy view and third-person view (TPS). Users will be able to command an entire squad or lead the battle themselves as a regular infantryman, sniper, machine gunner, medic, mortarman or tank driver.
The content portion of the demo will feature large-scale scenario missions based on the Battle of Mogilev and the battle near the village of Bunich in July 1941, as well as a replayable competitive “Occupy” mode.
Players will have access to more than two dozen controlled pieces of equipment and fighters for constructing field fortifications, constructing deep systems of trenches and mines, as well as expanded tactical capabilities such as selecting captured weapons, repairing equipment and calling in artillery support.
