The Honor Magic 9 Pro Max smartphone launched by Honor in China is equipped with a powerful photography system, and its configuration hired experts from German film equipment manufacturer Arnold Richter Film Technology (ARRI).
Honor Magic 9 Pro Max is equipped with a 200 MP main camera with f/1.57 aperture, a 1/1.28-inch sensor, and an optical stabilization system (OIS) with a correction angle of 3 degrees. It also comes with a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with high light sensitivity for night photography, 3.5x zoom, f/2.6 aperture, 1/1.4-inch sensor and optical stabilization, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Image processing is performed using a proprietary 6nm H1 imaging chip, which uses algorithms tuned with input from ARRI experts.
In addition, ARRI theater mode is provided, providing professional-level shooting control. Provides support for the ARRI LogC3 format, selects ready-made color styles from 14 pre-installed Arri Look LUT configuration files, and accesses official and third-party LUT libraries for color correction management. Support for the 10-bit APV (4:2:2) codec has also been added.
In addition, Magic Color for Video lets you try out different video visual styles, and LiveVideo lets you record videos within three seconds of releasing the shutter. Honor G200 and G500 can use external telephoto lenses to expand shooting capabilities.

Another feature of the Magic 9 Pro Max is the front-facing 55-megapixel camera with a square sensor that allows you to shoot both landscape and portrait.
The Magic 9 Pro Max is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and comes with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 1 TB of internal memory.
The 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen supports a resolution of 2868 x 1320 pixels and a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. Brightness is 2000cd/m22 Peak 10,000 cd/m2.
The power source is an 8800mAh battery with a silicon content of 40%. It also supports 100W fast wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
To protect against moisture and dust, the smartphone complies with IP68, IP69 and IP69K standards. The device runs Android 17 with MagicOS 11 software shell.
The Honor Magic 9 Pro Max smartphone is now available for pre-order, with prices starting at 6,499 yuan (approximately $968) for the 12/256 GB memory version.
