In the story, billionaire Alex Dieter breathed new life into the mountain town of Sweet Elm almost single-handedly: He installed fiber-optic internet, greened the streets, and killed scores of homeless people and imprisoned them within the walls of the local library.

At the beginning of “There’s a Problem in the Library,” the Alex Deeter Public Library is controlled by supernatural forces and the ghosts of the dead. The announcement comes with a shocking trailer.

Players take on the role of former librarian Philip Shead and must restore order to the library during one tense night, uncover the story of conspiracy, and rid the library of evil spirits – one bookshelf at a time.

Players will arrange thousands of real books according to Dewey’s categories (grouped by subject), author, and title. Announcing the Modular Chaos System – each game’s literature will be scattered in different ways.

Xalavier Nelson Jr., director of Strange Scaffold, said Library Gone Wrong aims to awaken players’ love for their local library, despite the horrific events that occur in the game.

“There’s a Problem in the Library” is expected to be released before the end of the fall steam. They promise a fully dubbed story in English (support for other languages is not specified) and a complete repository of paranormal phenomena.
