Shortly before the release of the arcade flight simulator “Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve”, Bandai Namco began releasing a mini-series called “HOUR ZERO”, which takes place before the game’s plot begins. The fourth and final episode has been released online, and those interested can watch the full prologue with Russian subtitles. For your convenience, we combined all episodes into one video, just over 32 minutes long, and uploaded it to our VKontakte group.
“HOUR ZERO” is a mini-series and a prequel to “Ace Combat 8: Wings of Tef”, aiming to introduce new players to the universe and legend of the “Ace Combat” series. The story revolves around three strangers in the early days of the Usi Federation during the invasion of the Republic of Sotoya: a pilot with nowhere to land (Josh Holloway), a doctor who saves the enemy (Brandon Routh), and a TV anchor (Tamlyn Tomita) who was silenced for telling the truth. The story is told in reverse chronological order through the prism of the heroes’ home lives, counting down the days when their familiar world collapsed with the outbreak of war, and setting the stage for Ace Combat 8’s massive campaign.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Tef has been released to Deluxe Edition users, and the full version will be released on October 2, 2026.
