Chinese company Montage Technology has announced the start of mass production of a new clock control chip for DDR5 RAM. This solution is designed for general user computers and servers requiring high memory bandwidth.
The CK01P chip is designed for modern CUDIMM, CSODIMM, CQDIMM and CAMM modules, supporting data transfer rates up to 9200 MT/s. They use a zero phase delay architecture and allow signal parameters to be adjusted for different memory configurations. Unused outputs can also be turned off to reduce power consumption.
The second solution, RCD05, targets DDR5 RDIMM server memory and supports speeds up to 8000 MT/s. According to the company, this is approximately 11% higher than the previous generation RCD04. The microcircuit is also equipped with signal correction and calibration tools required for stable operation at high frequencies.
