RGG Studio, the developer of the Yakuza series, with support from SEGA Publishing, has released a gameplay trailer for the crime role-playing action game Stranger Than Heaven. The film introduces key locations that players will visit with the protagonist.

The story of “Strangers in Paradise” takes place in another Japan in the first half of the last century. The project will tell the story of Makoto Daito, the founder of the Tojo crime family. The protagonist, the son of an American and a Japanese mother, has been persecuted and severely discriminated against since he was a child. After the death of his parents, the protagonist decides to leave the United States and return to his mother’s country.
Players will have the opportunity to explore five large cities created based on real prototypes from different eras. The events in the game will unfold from 1915 to 1965.
In the trailer released, Makoto Daito explores the streets of Kokura City in 1915. “The smoke comes from the workers who zealously persisted” The place greets viewers with the slums of a working-class neighborhood, a crowded shopping mall, and other colorful locales.
Strangers in Paradise will be released on PC on January 15, 2027 (steam, microsoft store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. A translation of the text into Russian has been announced.
