The Lord of the Rings Online has received update 49.4, which the developers released on August 19th. The patch is very compact, but affects multiple game mechanics, PvMP, and even fixes an unexpected bug that provided rewards for owners of the Noldor Keeper vaults.
One of the changes is due to a bug in the previous update 49.3. Players who purchased the Noldor Patron Strongbox accidentally received a title that was supposed to come later. Now use the new options: Lucky, Bringer of Luck and Promising. In the meantime, the developers will be adding these games to community loot lists this fall, so the unusual story of rewards doesn’t end there.
These changes also affect Runekeeper: the ability to write a new ending will now remove the desired effect immediately upon use, before triggering twice. In PvMP, several issues related to quests, equipment, and combat skills have been fixed. Most notably, the Beast’s Claw now properly promotes Warg Training, while the Guard’s Reins of Moorish Ferociousness requires being in Ettenmoor to be used.
Balance has also been tweaked slightly. Bison’s regeneration has been nerfed to +40% healing and +10% subsequent healing. The Witch’s Shadow Stream and Ignite have been corrected: the first skill will now properly attract enemies at a lower frequency without Fear Call, and the Ignite effects of different Witches will be able to stack and level up like other elemental synergies.
