CD Projekt Red has announced the full list of innovations for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, which will be released as a free update on September 29th. The developers also redesigned several key RPG systems, including combat mechanics, Geralt’s development, graphics, and interface.
Combat will receive a new skill tree with additional abilities, updated animations, finishing moves, and adaptive cameras. These changes will also affect the witcher’s signature, and opponents will start to react more aggressively to the player’s actions. There will also be transmogrification, allowing you to change the appearance of weapons and armor without changing their properties.
The visual part will be improved thanks to new textures, vegetation, lighting and rendering. Full path tracking will be added on PC, and PS5 Pro will receive PSSR support. In addition, Geralt and Roach’s animations will also be updated, and the wizard’s senses, interface, and quest notification system will also be redesigned.
Other new features include an enhanced photo mode, support for modification via Mod.io, and Bard’s Ballad accessibility. The Switch 2 version will feature motion controls, gyroscopic aiming, a touch screen, and a mouse mode.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red has released system requirements. For 1080p and 30 FPS at low settings, you’ll need a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT, 12 GB RAM, and 60 GB SSD storage. For 1080p/60 FPS at high settings, the RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600 XT and 16 GB RAM are recommended; for 1440p/60 FPS at ultra-high settings, the RTX 3070 Ti or RX 6800 XT and 24 GB RAM are recommended. Remastered is designed for 64-bit Windows 11, but the developers do not guarantee that it will work on Windows 10.
