Octopus Panic hopes to start releasing cooperative action game Gravhounds this year. The early access version is scheduled to be launched in November.
Gravhounds is a new game from developer and publisher Octopus Panic, which was unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live. This is a cooperative action builder for 1 to 4 players, scheduled to launch later this year. Early Access has now been announced for PC and Xbox Series X/S on November 2, 2026. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get the game directly at no additional cost.
In keeping with the announcement, we’ve released the first trailer, which you can watch following this report. This is to focus on the physics-based chaos of Gravhounds. You end up as a group of people on a hostile planet, where you must build defenses and disappear again with available resources before the aliens wipe you out.
In every mission in the game, you have to weigh the risks and rewards. Alien territories need to be developed using a network of guns, generators and pipelines.
You can already take your first photos in Cologne, as Gravhounds is playable at the Xbox booth in Hall 7 of Gamescom. The game can also be found at the Xbox booth, as Josh Holmes, former creative director of Halo 4 and Halo 5 and former studio head of 343 Studios, is working on the game.
