Hound13 Studio hosted an official developer livestream to showcase details of the upcoming major update 1.1 for its action-adventure role-playing game Dragon Sword: Awakening. The patch will be released on October 15th and will bring a lot of content and important changes based on community feedback.
Main new features of version 1.1:
- Lineup supplement: Lysa, one of the six heroes, will join players completely free of charge. You can get it by completing the “Reunion” mission after fighting the real dragon Gao Lung. Lysa uses a lightning spear, which has high mobility and synergy with the electric shock and knockdown status.
- Ranked Hunting System: Completing challenges will now reward rankings from S to D based on time, dodge, and armor breaking, and bring Awakening Stones as a one-time reward. For veterans, there will also be a more difficult Hell mode.
- Appearance and Balance: The game will feature new legendary costumes for Erin, Reyna, and Othello (the previously promised bunny costume will be released at a later date), and combat balance will feature a redesign of the critical damage and armor penetration formulas.
- Quality of Life (QoL): The developers improved cooking cooldowns, expanded map icons for farming routes, added label combo animation transitions, and made it easier to collect achievement rewards.
