Shooter Gray Zone Warfare is entering the next phase of development with a comprehensive update to Rogue Ops. The product is expected to be released in October and will include many innovations.
Developer Madfinger is entering the next phase of development for its shooter Gray Zone War. With the Rogue Ops update starting on October 22, 2026, the game will enter the alpha stage. As a result, players will receive a wealth of new content and improvements that are specifically based on previous player feedback. Beyond that, there should eventually be the option to create multiple playable characters.
Three new locations in the game will provide new opportunities for exploration: the Radio Observatory, the Sanctuary, and the Military Research Station. There, you’ll gain hours of new options, as well as new tactical challenges and the chance to earn sometimes the most valuable loot in the game.
One of the biggest innovations in Rogue Ops is said to be the introduction of hideouts and crafting systems. The upgrade system will be expanded to include an entirely new level. For example, you should be able to create chemicals for medical purposes. New techniques can be gained through crafting, such as using hacking tools to access previously inaccessible areas.
Good news for existing players: Rogue Ops will also be the first major update to maintain and not erase the progress made so far. As part of the soft wipe, only in-game currency and gear will be reset, with other progress remaining unchanged.
