Obviously, there is nothing official on the matter, so it should be regarded as a simple rumor without any confirmation, but given the huge success of Pokémon FireRed and Greenleaf, it cannot be ruled out that Nintendo would like to continue down this path, and the chosen chapter would be one of the ideal candidates.

Will definitely operate successfully

This will be consistent with the operation of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, which were originally released on the Game Boy Advance in 2004 and were also re-released on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 via the eShop last February.

If this were a project exactly like the first two games, even in this case it would be a Extremely faithful conversionthe game is actually complete compared to the original version, save for some technical tweaks to make them look better on modern monitors, and a few other things like tweaks to the Pokedex, including creatures originally tied to special events.

Light88 only says: “Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire conversions for Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2 will be available on October 8th,” which, given the lack of any sources, makes one suspect that this could just be a random shot.

However, it must be noted that the leaker in question has collected a Lots of correct information Information about Pokémon in the past, such as information about Pokémon Pokopia and more. Currently, we are waiting for possible news in this regard.
