The next update for Dragonborn: Exile will feature a survival mode, where a bug could end the entire game. At the same time, the developers tried to maintain the ability to use familiar city infrastructure without turning the mode into a separate game.
Survival begins when you create your character: first you need to create a new group and enable survival for it. After that, all heroes in the team will automatically obtain the corresponding status. The city itself continued to operate as usual, including making improvements, but then began to impose restrictions. Characters will not be able to access general storage, and personal chests will be tied directly to specific heroes. You won’t be able to pick up other players’ loot, move your character to another city, or team up with a regular team.
Ancestor progress also does not transfer between survival characters, and the mode itself cannot be turned off after the group is created. Local co-op also has an interesting nuance: if a second player joins the game, his character automatically becomes a survival character.
Heroes don’t disappear without a trace after they die. His story will be told to the Pantheon, where up to 32 characters can be stored. There will be information about gear, skills, whelps, and some stats. It turns out to be a museum of failed adventures – with just a few exhibits to remind you how costly a mistake can be.
